This website has been established to aid the development of a local currency in Tooting. Please follow our blog.  

Prototype Tooting Pounds (A.K.A 'Roots') were first used on the 17th September 2011 at the 4th Annual Tooting Foodival. The photograph below shows the launch of the currency with members of Transition Town Tooting and Sadiq Khan MP for Tooting.  

We hope to work with local business, residents and other stakeholders in order to realise the goal of establishing a local currency in Tooting, South London.
